good news, no good news

Good news: my wife Molly and I are both micro-chipped. Molly has a U.S. microchip and I have a European one. My forms are signed, and I am all ready to go. I must say that my vet and her staff have been wonderful beyond words. Thank you all!

I am going to miss Molly. She's been a great companion, even though she hovers over my food and flirts with all the intact male dogs at the park. My mom will miss her too - she already feels very guilty for leaving her behind. But I am looking forward to meeting the Bulgarian dogs (female ones, preferably), and I'm sure Molly will meet someone too. We have an open relationship.

The bad news is that the Fulbright coordinator in Plovdiv has been unable to find an apartment for us so far. It seems that no landlord wants to rent their apartment to someone with a dog. It's so unfair. I hope we won't have to sleep under a bridge or something.

I know that you'll find a spot! Don't worry too much.

I know I haven't always been so nice to Molly (it is because I was jealous). Will miss you. BTW, I have a European microchip, too!
