4 days before departure. Mom still has no passport (though she called the consulate and they said that it's in the mail), and no concrete news about apartments. The people who are going to stay in our apartment and take care of Molly keep changing things too, and that's one more blow at mom's sanity.
The good news is that mom's friend M. agreed to let us stay with her while in Thessaloniki. Mom usually stays with M. anyway, but this time she was not sure because M. is not crazy about having me in the house. I don't think this is fair because I am not a dirty dog, and it's not my fault I have colitis. Plus, my mom does everything she can to make me less of an imposition. She even bought diapers for me! Well anyway, M. agreed to put up with me for a few days, and mom is grateful for that. Now we can only hope the rest falls into place...
