My re-acclimation process would not have been complete without a visit to the vet. Mom was very happy to see Dr. Rubin again, but I - am ashamed to admit - did not show my appreciation much. I didn't really have a reason to be worried (no rectal exam or even anal sac emptying this time - yay!!!) but I guess I've had too many traumas during this year.
The big surprise was that there was NOTHING wrong with me! Can you believe this? Mom couldn't. After two years of struggle with surgery, medication, special diets, and more, my colitis is finally under control. I had to start taking some Glucosamine for my hind legs but oh well, I am uuuugghhhum-years-old after all. I guess Bulgaria has been good for me, being an only child, having mom around a lot, and of course, lots of big, meaty, Bulgarian bones.
I wonder whether I should change the name of my blog now: "The no-longer incontinent dog no longer in Philly"?
