Tough week

This past week has been tough for me. My adopted grand-dad, Kostas, was in the hospital for the whole week. Nothing too serious, fortunately, but mom did end up spending evenings after work at the hospital. Since dogs are not allowed in hospitals, I had to stay home for 10-12 hours at a time. Now, when I said I'm colitis symptom-free, I did not mean that I can go for 12 hours without a walk.

Anyhow, fortunately Kostas is now recovering at home and I was rewarded for my patience with a nice hike at Fairmount park on Sunday. This time Molly didn't come with us, but Pepe did. Pepe is Kostas and Maria's chihuahua and an ambitious suitor of Molly's, so mom decided that we can't have field trips the three of us all together. A wise decision, most likely. Besides, Pepe is a male teenage dog, which means that as far as pheromones go, I don't make great distinctions between boys and girls. Yep, that's me, dirty old dog. Fear not, Pepe came out of the hiking trip unscathed and his honor unblemished, and a lot of fun was had by all.

P.S. Our car may still reek of fish, but the fish was definitely worth it. I haven't had any yet but mom has been making stir-fry all week and raving about it. If you are into fish give her a call - she loves feeding people!
