House guest

A few days ago, we had an unusual guest in our kitchen:

Of course, mom could not leave it alone, so she decided to catch it and take it outside. That was a challenge, due to its small size, so mom tried to grab it from its tail. As expected, she was left with half a lizard tail between her fingers:

Fortunately, lizards are known for the ability to grow a new tail. I hope. In any case, the operation was a success and the lizard was released by the river side, though half-tailed. It's a small price to pay, I think, considering that there are many times when I would gladly give half of my tail to be outside!
